i was stabbed in hand with a lead pencil as a child, what long-lasting effects will this have on me as adult?
I was about 10 years of age when the incident took place on the school bus, now I’m 20 years old. Could I be lead poisoned, even after all this time? What test is given to check lead poisoning?
1) Pencils have not been made with a lead center sinct the 1940′s; 2) If it had been a “lead” pencil, any lead poisioning would have occurred withing a few days, not 10 years. You are safe, with no long lasting effects.
