Dresser lead paint removal?
Hi,
We were just given a really old dresser that we suspect was painted with lead paint. As we’d like to use the dresser in a future kid’s room, we want to be sure to get rid of the lead paint!! What’s the best way to do this, and how much should it cost? I plan on calling some furniture refinishers tomorrow and getting some quotes, but what’s a reasonable price?
Thanks!!
they make liquid paint remover that will work and keep you from sanding it off and making dust . most paint and hardware stores carry one brand or another you just spray or brush it on and scrap it off .some are more pleasant than others , as far as what is reasonable in refinishing I never dealt with a finisher and don’t know how much they would charge.
