Sanding and stripping while pregnant?

I would like to use a paint stripper and a little bit of sanding to refinish my stairs. I know they recommend not to if you are pregnant, but I figure if I wear one of those super duper masks (better than those white things that doctors wear) AND I keep all the doors and windows open AND I leave the area as soon as I apply the stripper (which takes about 2 minutes cuz I’m doing one stair at a time) that I will be fine. What do you think?

If I were you I wouldn’t take the chance. That babies life inside you is a miracle and I really would not take the chance at loosing it over something so small. Aside from miscarrying, you could cause serious long term effects to the baby. If I were you, I wouldn’t.
