Are we to believe China only RECENTLY started using LEAD paint on toys?
The recall information I have seen is so vague that I don’t trust that it is complete, or covers all dates, concerning all toys, involving lead paint. I checked our toybox and 95% of our toys are from China! Some are older than others, some bought in excellent condition from tag sales. How do we know which ones are and aren’t lead based? The boxes they were bought in are long gone, even if that matters. Is there a place we can actually have our toys screened? I am ready to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of toys if no clear answer is available. HELP!!
Why don’t you contact Mattel Toys and ask them the question. They have a lot of toys they have had to recall because they chose to cut corners and not have oversight at the Chinese factories that they also pressured into keeping costs down.
There are two places to blame, the companies here and the lack of oversight and cost cutting going on in China because of corporate greed.
Peace
Jim
